WHERE WE MET COLE

Throughout the technical creation of Arthur Labs, I applied to various incubator programs located in Austin Texas, where within a few weeks was accepted into the Texas Blockchain (TXB) incubator program — a student led community of like-minded modern web-savvy enthusiasts, building blockchains, LLMs, and feel-futuristic technology. My formal application was with Cole’s colleague, Harish Kolli — the Head of Startups at the TXBs incubator program. In this edition of YOU SHOULD MEET, let us introduce you to Cole Anderson, the Managing Director of Texas Blockchain, so we can share his brilliant interests in improving the tech and finance world through his involvement in AI and Blockchains, to help startups.

HOW WE MET COLE

Throughout the following weeks of being accepted into the program, we threw technical questions around and Arthur Labs was fortunate to receive professional mentorship, provided by the TXB team. I formally met Cole at our first in person incubator meetup, where I introduced my company, team, and vision after Cole led the meeting. There were around 10 brilliant minds around the table, including the TXB founder and QUAI Network founder, Alan Orwick. After the first proper meeting, we went to the main TXB meetup, right after the incubator meeting — where Cole gave me a short summary of his life story, helping me understand why he decided to move from the Half Moon Bay area to Dallas, then to Austin for future education.

WHAT COLE DOES

Cole is building a reputation and ingraining his name in the AI and Web3 sectors. Currently, he proves and builds his abilities by leading the incubator program, which has 3 executives helping him grow the program, overseeing and managing the weekly meeting for 3 companies. He leads a team that handles the logistics of weekly meetings, and connections to high networth and high networked mentors. Beyond his executive responsibilities in the TXB incubator program, he also studies full time. While leading the team and studying business courses, he still manages to find social time to play basketball, knockout usually and frisbee, as well as experiments with custom GPT Modals on various AI platforms. He would like to in the near future combine the trio of business, artificial intelligence, and blockchain infrastructure together to help give opportunities for small businesses to thrive in a world of monopolies.

MORE ABOUT COLE

Cole was born in the half moon bay, growing up on the surf side. After finishing high school and moving closer to some family in Fort Worth, Cole became heavily involved in anything AI and Web3. He attended various tech events, but it is specifically worth highlighting his experience at the Applied Intelligence Live Conferences in Austin; where he was seeing the frontier and learning more about the ethical use of AI in mega-corporations like Fujitsu and Lenovo. Although he’s taken his experience from these conferences and brought them into his university life, he’s equally vested in bringing his personal education in finances and merging the technology and finance worlds together.

WHERE TO MEET

You might find Cole playing Ultimate Frisbee downtown at various fields with his roommates. Always up for finding interesting people to play with. If you’re interested in getting involved in future Texas Blockchain programs, or are keen in meeting Cole to discuss implementing AI/LLMs into your small business, or even would like to connect with him in a future event, you can meet him in person in the University of Texas at Austin, or say hi over LinkedIn LINKEDIN https://www.linkedin.com/in/colton-anderson40/
