WHY YOU SHOULD MEET CHLOE

Chloe He is a highly intellectual mentor for youths, and an even more fascinating friend to have. She’s helping people undergoing fertility treatments get pregnant quicker through embryo analysis, alongside advancing reinforcement learning and AI safety.

WHERE AND HOW WE MET CHLOE

I was exceptionally lucky in receiving direct mentorship from Chloe in Teens In AI. During my first few Hackathons, Chloe led and organized the program, where she formalized organizational partnerships, handled child safety policies, taught programming, business management, and neural networks, and hosted post event ceremonies.

My sister and I were first introduced to her from Elena Sinel, the founder of Teens In AI. Through the next seven years, we’ve grown to become friends within a new niche of technology for younger people, AI. In this article’s series of YOU SHOULD MEET, we welcome Chloe He, a core influence in embryo research, and advancing the field of reproductive medicine.

WHAT CHLOE DOES

Chloe is committed full time to her studies in her PhD program at University College London. She studies and experiments ways to develop AI techniques that reconstruct embryos from microscopic data, which ultimately aims to help save time and money for people undergoing fertility treatment , by reducing the need for returns and better predicting if embryos will lead to viable pregnancies.

Chloe also mentors teenagers in technology, science and research. When she has time, she also mentors other mentors and teachers who help these students advance their interests in AI.

WHAT CHLOE IS WORKING ON

Alongside studying full time, she is also building a nonprofit blood testing company for transgender people in the UK, where she is passionate about creating a movement and platform for transgender people to receive necessary healthcare and fair resources.

Although she is now much less involved in Teens In AI, she still finds time to help those who reach out to her. Through the opportunities she has created for herself from Teens In AI, she travels around the world frequently to innovative tech events, alongside her work in fertility care.

MORE ABOUT CHLOE

Between 2015–2017, Chloe was heavily involved in co-founding and developing Teens In AI. Although she is now only involved in an advisory capacity, she helps mentor students throughout the program when she has time. After her deep involvement, she started at Imperial College London, pursuing a Bachelors in Computer Science. In parallel, she worked full time maritime defense, as well as working in the BeeXML community. BeeXML is an international data center that collects data about bees. Chloe thought it would be fun to tackle and curate a summary article for how to detect the quality of pollen. She worked with Alexis Gkantiragas and Gerard Glowacki, two other fascinating people in the future we may write about. Essentially, the pollen that bees collect, can be traced to the original plant it was retrieved from, and with this data, anyone around the world can authenticate the quality of honey produced, to determine if it’s fake, or authentic.

She decided to skip her masters around the time she finished her work in the bee world, and now she is nearing the end of her PhD, at 23 years old.

WHAT IS NEXT FOR CHLOE

In the long term, Chloe has a few personal envisions, all of which ultimately aim to make the largest possible impact during her existence. Right now, she is working towards helping people save weeks, if not months, by helping people get pregnant with quality embryos. She will also consider her own business, most likely in the medical field. She will also help support the communities she respectively follows and is well connected too, and will also work in parallel to helping them receive all of the support and foundational needs possible.

WHAT IS NEXT FOR CHLOE

If you’re in the fertility sector, or greatly interested in AI, you may be able to ask to join her AI Fertility event that she’s organizing in Croatia during the summer. You could also see her in Amsterdam, and maybe the United States and Morocco over the summer.

If you’d like to check out her summary page, or view her publications, you can check out her anarchist website at CHLOE HE or PUBLICATIONS
